Story synopsis: Our heroine is a small fry in a tech company with dreams of one day becoming her own boss. Resolutely handing in her resignation after an especially difficult day at work, our heroine bravely starts a medical tech company with a college friend. Hitting roadblocks at every turn, our heroine’s once seemingly perfect relationship with her boyfriend of seven years starts to buckle under the pressure of her trying to keep her company afloat. During our heroine’s most difficult time, she finds an unlikely mentor in our hero, a successful CEO of a big investor company. From her investor to her mentor, to mutual attraction, our two leads’ relationship evolved as our heroine stumbled and grew on her journey of turning her dream into reality.
I am super excited for this one! Actress Seven Tan usually has great chemistry with her male co-stars anyway but I still have extra high hopes to see how her chemistry will be with Xu Kai.
I am so excited for As Beautiful As You especially since Seven Tan and Xu Kai are pretty much how I imagined our two leads in my head when I read the novel. The story was solid with a lot of character development, realistic career challenges, and most importantly, I LOVED the slow yet very believable and satisfying pace our two leads fell in love with one another. One thing I hope the drama will keep the same from the novel is the way our heroine’s ex-boyfriend was written. This particular character made a big impression on me because, unlike most stories, the author didn’t make him out to be a jerk but instead used this relationship to show that sometimes things don’t work out despite our best intentions.
