*I am using the word “Upcoming” very loosely here. Most of the shows listed here are done filming so they SHOULD be out sometime during 2021. However, when a C-drama air depends a lot of time when they get permission from the government so that’s why sometimes you might see a drama that has finished filming for a long time and is still caught in the broadcasting limbo but hopefully that won’t happen to any of the shows listed here. Like the Drama Roundup, this post will be updated from time to time.

You Are My Glory (Expected release: Summer)

Despite being a top celebrity now, back in her high school days, our heroine was only an ordinary girl whose confession was rejected by her crush. Unexpectedly meeting her crush again ten years later when she needed an online gaming coach in order to save her faltering image as a gaming spokesperson who is terrible at gaming, our heroine’s poor little heart is once again in danger of falling for the exact same guy.

Growing up with a burning love for the field of aerospace, our hero has always believed money or even romantic relationships are not too much to sacrifice for his dream…that is until his mother falls ill and he is confronted with the reality that as an aerospace engineer he simply doesn’t have the financial means to give his own mother the best medical care. Will meeting our heroine give our hero the courage to pursue his dream once more or will he reject her…again?

It is extremely difficult to not go into this one with high expectations given the blinding star power of Yang Yang and Dilraba Dilmurat. The plot sounds good thus far and honestly, as long as the story is tolerable I will probably stick around to just to stare at our two leads…

The Oath of Love

Yang Zi (Go Go Squid) plays a young cellist who seems to have a bright future ahead of her. With a promising job waiting for her once she graduates from college in a year and a loving boyfriend by her side, our heroine could want for nothing until her father’s sudden illness stripped both of those things away from her. Struggling to see the light at the end of the tunnel as she cares for her father, our heroine develops an unlikely friendship with her father’s attending physician. As two people who have both been hurt in love, our two leads’ friendship provided healing at first and slowly paves the way for something more.

There is a lot of excitement for this one so I am really crossing my fingers that it will live up to the high bar people have set for it.
