Aired: April 16, 2022 (Mon-Sun)

Total Episodes: 33

Leads: Ren Jia Lun (Forever and Ever, The Blue Whisper) & Chen Xiao Yun

Synopsis: With no real goals in life other than to get a job that would allow him to still have time to take care of his single mother, our hero ended up applying to become a firefighter after a news reporter captured him on camera rescuing some people from a building fire. Having never been one to play by the rules, it didn’t take long for our hero to realize if he is to become a top firefighter he will have to learn to trust his team because his superior athletic ability is not going to save him every time.

First Impression: It was fun seeing actor Ren Jia Lun playing a jokester troublemaker that is so different from his recent roles. However, after giving this one three episodes I wasn’t tempted to keep watching. The story moved quite fast…actually, too fast for me. I think our hero’s fireman training only took one and half episodes before he became an official fireman. For all the show’s setup that being a fireman is a difficult and sacred job that requires lots of knowledge and training, it sure looked like our hero just went to a weekend training before he was put right into the field. There are also a few conflict storylines that were built quickly and then fizzled out just as quickly. By the end of episode three, the show was giving me a rather formulaic feel.

On a side note, there is a romance line in this one. Our heroine was one of our hero’s trainers and is in the same team as him once he is hired.

Recommend Checking It Out? Only if you are a Ren Jia Lun fan and/or you really like fireman/doctor/police dramas.
