Ten Years Late (Chinese Drama, New)

Breaking up in college, both of our leads had thought they could move on and put the past behind them. However, it took ten years to teach both of them that what they thought was a wound forgotten…has only festered into something they can no longer ignore. Our two leads will be reunited when our hero gives up his high paying job abroad and finagles his way into our heroine’s company to work with her.

The main love line will obviously be how our two leads reunite and work through their misunderstandings but there will also be two other love lines. One is for the male second lead who has been silently loving and supporting our heroine for the last ten years. The male second lead is a fairly fun character so I am glad he will find his own happy ending with a young intern who will pursue him with all her might. Unfortunately, the show’s synopsis has already made it fairly plain that the second love line will not have a happy ending (the guy will die in a car accident…that particular scene is even in the opening song), which is just SO sad becuase this couple’s romance looks pretty good as well.

For those of you who followed Princess Agents, you would be happy to see that Shawn Dou who played the tragic but very memorable male second lead in that show is playing the hero in this one. Shawn Dou looks great here…actually, the whole cast of Ten Years Late is amazingly attractive so if beautiful shows are your thing then you definitely want to check this one out.

Vagabond (Korean Drama, New)

Lee Seung Gi and Suzy’s new action thriller. Determined to seek the truth when his young nephew dies in a mysterious plane crash that killed over 200 people, our hero, a stunt man, goes on a personal crusade. During his quest, our hero’s path will cross with our heroine who is an undercover NIS (National Intelligence Service) agent.

This one’s pacing is fast and intense- exactly the thing you want in an action thriller. Episode one was obviously heartbreaking especially since they had to go and put a bunch of cute little kids on the doomed plane. The tear-jerker set up aside, Vagabond seems like a solid bet if you are in the mood for an action thriller.

Lookism (Korean Drama, New)

Timid and chubby, our hero has lived his most of his life being bullied or ridiculed. Excited to attend a new school with a new beginning, our hero’s first day in a brand new city, unfortunately, only showed him that he will always be an easy target. Stunned when he unexpectedly discovers that he can switch between two bodies- his own and another body that is the exact opposite of his own (as in tall and handsome), our hero decides to walk into his new school with his new body. Little does our hero know, his new body harbors many secrets…secrets he will begin to find out when the body’s real owner begins to wake up.

This one is base on a Korean Webtoon but the show doesn’t have too heavy of comic vibe to it.

The World Owes Me A First Love (Chinese Drama, New)

Charming when he wants to be, our hero nonetheless is usually not…especially when it comes to ordering his poor assistant- our heroine around. Huffy when her boss jeeringly tells her that he would only listen to her project idea if she can get someone to date her, our heroine takes her boss’ words as a personal challenge. Quite pleased with herself when her very first blind date proved to be successful, our heroine’s mood was in direct contrast to her boss’ who suddenly discover that he is none too pleased by the thought his little pet might wander off with someone else.

The set up of this one is fairly predictable but I liked the fun bickering relationship between our two leads so I am tentatively putting this one on my watch list.
