As promised, here is the OST for The Rise of Phoenixes. Just a reminder again, these songs are really more like poems so they are really difficult to translate for me so what you guys are getting is more like a gist of the meaning.

This one is not the ending soundtrack, but the soundtrack that was used throughout the show. This one is also my favorite because the lyric is just so lovely and totally perfect for our two leads. I actually think the lyric is more appropriate for the novel because the last two sentence explains why our hero AND our heroine would give up the world for each other.

The autumn wind blows, who is sighing?
Within your brows, love and hate are intertwined
Your charming countenance makes everything pales in comparison
Leaving behind only a beautiful legend
My thoughts are like a ball of tangled thread
The closest us, are the fiercest foes
Everything is like a game of chess, you are the only opponent for me
One single move, sends fourth thousands of soldiers
Carefully, diligently I work to accumulate sweet memories of us
Forever is an unknown, I can only fight for each moment
My best schemes to fulfill all of your distrust and doubts
I am frightened to miss a single moment of our time together
The more I want to forget the deeper you are etched into my heart
The more addicted I am to you, the further you are away from me
All of my calculations just to make you smile
I would rather lose this world to win you
The whole world is nothing compares to you

The next two soundtrack is all but one song. The music is exactly the same and there are only minor differences between the two in the lyrics (The English translation makes the lyric seem like they are really different but in Chinese they are similar). However, one is from our heroine’s perspective while the other is from our hero’s.

The general meaning of Nai He is “so what” but with a more hopeless feel than a defiant meaning.

So what if I am awake, who loves more than me
The bridge divides us, this life is cold
Passing life alone, so what if I am surrounded by loneliness
No one asks about the reason, suddenly I see the dark clouds above
The cool moonlight provides a hiding place for the past
Songs float from the tall buildings but the wind blows away the laughing chatters
The sun sets and the rain falls on those who are bidding sad goodbyes
So what if the heart aches
In front of others, only coldness remain
The sword knows this life and guards the loneliness
Time flies past, I refuse to hide when we meet
Through the age, love always accompanies sad goodbyes
When I look back, it is littered with mistakes
The wind sends the songs from afar to say goodbye
So what if the heart aches
The one I love is alone and lamenting how big this world is
I have no one to tell my sadness to
The wind blows through my fingertips
Goodbye, so what

The title of this song is a play on the song above which makes it “So, so what”.

So what if I am awake, love is not enough
The bridge is hidden between us, this life is tiring
Walking alone, what of it if there is nothing at all
No one cares about the cause, suddenly I see the field of flowers (So the second half of this phrase actually has a reference to another poem which describes a husband asking his wife to come home because the flower by the roadside has bloomed. For those of you who have seen Love O2O this is the poem our hero quotes to the heroine when he tells her to come back to him.)
The cool moonlight shines on the past
Songs from the tall buildings along with the laughter within it come with the wind, bids a reluctant goodbye in the rain
There is no one to pour out my sadness to, so what if I am in pain
The words won’t come, if I could only cut away this tiring life with a slice of the sword
There is no place to hide when we meet
So what if sleep won’t come, all I wake up to are mistakes
The wind blows through my fingertips
Goodbye…so what
