“Bang.”

There was another muffled sound, the sound of a human body firmly hitting the muddy tidal flat.

Gu Nan Yi who had been standing against the side of the ship with a hand covering his chest, suddenly rushed over, a leg sweeping the bucket with Gu Zhi Xiao in it, then immediately jumped off the ship himself.

His blue robe disappeared in a flash off the side of the ship, a few drops of blood scattering in the air.

After the muffled sound, silence returned.

Everyone stood stunned on the ship like clay sculptures, utterly shocked by what had just transpired. From Feng Zhi Wei’s sudden attack on Ning Yi, to Gu Nan Yi jumping off the ship after them, this all happened in just a few breaths time but it left everyone in confusion as if a whole lifetime had passed. In the blink of an eye, the situation had turned upside down, like watching a tall building collapsing in an instant, leaving no trace.

It was so shocking that it felt unreal. People looked at each other, not knowing what to do.

Second Prince was also stunned. He was stunned from the moment he saw blood bursting between Ning Yi and Feng Zhi Wei. Even now, his mouth is still half open, his eyes staring blankly at the missing gap on the side of the ship.

He had originally only hoped that plan would drive a wedge or sow a seed of doubt, but who knew the undercurrent between these three people would be so turbulent as if an explosion was just waiting to happen. He already knew Wei Zhi was calculating and ruthless but judging by what just happened, he is even more ruthless than he had imagined. No wonder he was still able to come back after being captured by DaYue empire.

He had been staying protected this whole time in a corner that would make it very difficult to attack him. To ensure his own safety, more than a dozen people were standing in front and behind him which means he could only look through the gaps between his guards to see what was happening. Hearing absolutely no moment from below the ship, he can’t help but feel a burning curiosity to know what had happened to his two mortal enemies.

It is very difficult to ask a person not to look at the proof of his success, especially if it was the fruit of his own careful planning.

Second Prince thought for a moment and waved his hand.

The people in front of him parted, protecting him as he strode forward.

When he got to the gap on the ship’s side, someone tried to stand in front of him. Second Prince laughed and scolded, “Idiot, how am I supposed to see with you blocking me like this?” He pushed the person aside and said, “The boat is tall. After a person falls at this distance, no one can hurt me. You guys protect me from behind and be careful of those few trying to do anything as a last-ditch effort.”

“Your Highness can rest assured, those guys are shocked out of their minds.” One subordinate laughed and pointed with his chin at Ning Cheng, who was still in a state of shock. Another subordinate carefully put a shield in front of Second Prince’s chest to protect his heart in case someone still alive below would attack him.

The group of women came over, and the one leading the group took off her mask and wiped her sweat, letting out a charming smile as she said with a chuckle, “Thanks to Your Highness’ cunning plan that led to them turning on each other, or else me and my sisters would most likely have to lose our lives against that Gu Nan Yi. Look, Xue Er is even injured.”

Second Prince smiled a wolfish smile in an obviously good mood and said as he leaned over “You hurt your forehead? Show I blow on it for you?” While blowing on it with his lips pursed, he pinched the woman’s water snake-like waist, causing the woman to let out a string of giggling laughs and gave him a push but then promptly pressed herself against him like glue. Second Prince laughed heartily as the group of women surrounded him with tittering giggles as he reached out with both arms to hug them to him. Second Prince’s men promptly retreated off to the side with a smile.

With his arms around his beauties, Second Prince leaned against the ship’s broken side wall and poked his head out. He looked down and saw Feng Zhi Wei’s body on top of Ning Yi’s. Their weapons had both fallen off to the side from the impact. Gu Nan Yi had fallen a bit further away. Gu Zhi Xiao who had by this time climbed out of the bucket was sobbing loudly as she held onto him.

Second Prince’s eyes were sparkling bright as he waved his hand and made a gesture to the outer realm of the reed pond in front of him.

The soldiers who had been surrounding the reed pond immediately threw their torches into the pond. The fire burned fiercely, and several fire dragons came from all sides of the reed pond.

Second Prince hand had been holding onto the ship side this whole time but had let go momentarily when he waved.

It was at that instant.

*Bang!*

The women standing behind him suddenly raised their feet in unison and kicked him right on the backside.

Second Prince was standing right on the edge of the ship’s side and was kicked by several elite martial arts fighters in unison with great force, he only had time to let out an “Ah” sound before falling. In panic, he desperately tried to grab the side of the ship beside him, but Xue Er who had been nestling in his arms, sneered coldly and hugged his hand.

The shield in front of him was knocked away, Second Prince screamed as he fell.

On the tidal flat.

Feng Zhi Wei who had been lying on top of Ning Yi motionless suddenly lurched up into the air!

From bottom to upward , a cold light burst out like a trailing meteor, like a sky-high flying dragon roaring into the air.

The flying dragon raised its head and headed straight for the falling body.

*Sqwelp*

The long sword entered from the front and came out from the back. Thanks to the fall’s great momentum, the sword pierced through Second Prince right through the heart, and blood shot out high into the air!

The blood soared through the air before splashing onto the hall of the ship, smearing a bright red path on the dark black body of the ship, slowly falling along the lines carved out by water, like a broken map of an empire.

Feng Zhi Wei sneered coldly in the air as she drew back her sword. Her face was covered with blood spots, looking quite frightening but she didn’t bother to wipe them away. Meeting Second Prince’s wide eyes that were already starting to dilate with a cold sneer, Feng Zhi Wei grabbed his collar and threw his body right onto the ground.

Second Prince fell with a crash, struggling and twisting in the mud, blood bubbling out of his chest but his eyes were still wide open.

Feng Zhi Wei flicked the tip of her sword, and a few drops of blood quickly slid down the groove and landed on Second Prince’s face. The sword was shining bright, reflecting the coldness in her eyes.

Her lips curved into a chilling smile.

“You didn’t expect that I would dare to just kill you like this?”

Kneeling down, she patted Second Prince’s face with the tip of her long sword and said with indifference, “But I have to kill you– for the insult Shaoning suffered, and for the lingering wounds on Nan Yi.”

She calmly wrapped the sword back around her waist and nonchalantly walked away.

A whistling sound came in from a distance away, and Jianghuai navy ships could vaguely be seen on the water. On the shore, deafening thumping sounds of hoofbeats came. Second Prince’s soldiers surrounding the reed pond turned their heads in panic and were greeted by a sea of red jumping flames spreading out on the horizon. The crimson red wave spread out, reflecting brightly on the black armor, moving in unison under the smoke.
