A thousand years have passed since the war between the immortals and the demons. Jingmie passed through the demon palace that is in complete disarray and asks with a wince “She caused trouble again didn’t she, where is she?”

The maidservants in the hall all shook their heads.

Jingmie sighed and said, “All right, I’ll go look for her.”

He walked out of the demon palace, walked all the way past the blue flowers that are in full bloom and the fireflies, finally finding that person at the end of the forest.

She had two flower buds in her hair with purple ribbons hanging down, sitting on a tree.

A pair of white jade-like feet are covered with mud, the bells on her feet tinkling as she kicked them back and forth.

A mosquito flew past her and without blinking an eye, she reached out a white plump hand to pinch it to death.

The girl is about four or five years cold, looking utterly bored as she sat by the boundary monument, letting out a comical adult-like sigh, “Ugh.”

Amused, Jingmie walked forward and picked up the little shoes that had fallen on the ground. Casting a spell to clean up her white little cute feet, Jingmie then stuffed them back into her shoes.

“Why is the princess here again?”

The girl turned her face and let out a grunt, “Did they come to you and complain again? Those useless idiots, they only know how to complain!”

Her face is very sweet looking with long and dense eyelashes but is looking a bit fierce as she bared her teeth, “What’s the use of complaining to you, do you dare to do anything to me?”

Jimngie replied, “I wouldn’t dare, I wouldn’t dare.”

The girl’s fingers gouged at the tree, looking absentmindedly at the outside of the boundary.

Jingmie pretended not to know her thoughts and said, “Lord Bei Lai submitted a complaint, saying the princess had buried his beloved son in the swamp and made a pink flower bloom on top of the young master’s head. The young master has been crying since he was rescued until now.”

A sneer appeared on the corner of the girl’s mouth. “So what?”

Jingmie continued, “Half a month ago, princess bullied the bear demon’s fat daughter until she was chased by the red flam bee. Last month, the princess destroyed Nanxiu clan’s demon pool. And the month before that, the princess was invited to Crane demon clan as a guest but almost skewered their newborn grandchild for bbq.”

The girl said impatiently, “I didn’t bbq it didn’t I?”

After a moment of silence, Jingmie replied, “… If Siying didn’t show up in time, the little demon crane would’ve ended up in the princess’ belly. Now, no one dares to invite princess to their home.”

In other words, little princess, you have no friends, all the kids in the demon world have decided to stop being friends with you, understand?

The girl flattened her mouth, “I don’t like them anyway.”

Her eyes were the color of purple grapes, big and round, seemingly about to tear up if she just blinks it.

If one didn’t know that is a little devil girl, Jingmie would’ve thought she was the one being bullied.

“With all the complaints piled up in the palace, when the goddess returns, the princess will be punished.”

The girl swings her little legs, not saying anything.

Her toes kicked the boundary barrier and caused water-like ripples. The girl naughtily punched it, her little fist was pinkish and plump but it contained immense strength. The barrier remained motionless.

“I am sick and tired of this!” The girl flew down the big tree and ran out on her short legs.

Jingmie looked in the direction the girl had been looking. The endless world outside was blocked by a barrier. People from the demon world couldn’t get out and people from the outside world couldn’t get in.

Jingmie sighed and left to catch up to the girl.

She didn’t go back to the palace but squatted on the ground with her big eyes blinking, poking at an ant nest.

It seldom rained all year in the Demon Realm. The ants were in a panic as they scattered, running all around.

The little demon girl smiled naughtily, a dark purple fire ignited in her palm.

Feeling a headache coming, Jingmie quickly held her hand, “Princess, the goddess will be angry.”

“She can be angry all she wants, she doesn’t care about me anyway.” The purple fire in her palm went out even as she almost shouted out her words.

Jingmie laughed inwardly. The princess is indeed sulking about the fact that the goddess had not returned yet.

He squatted down, the little girl with a dirty face doesn’t even reach his chin.

There were obvious hurt feelings in her eyes but all she showed were anger and viciousness.

However, with a face that still carries baby fat, how can she really be “vicious.”

Jingmie said, “I have explained to the princess before that goddess will come back later this time. She is going to the ghost crying river this time and it is dangerous. Even a god would not be able to search through all the souls in there in a short amount of time.”

Tantai Zimi said, “But she has been looking for a long time! Every hundred years, she would go to many places and fight fierce beats. She went to that sea, then to that underworld, even though everyone said that the demon god is gone for good!”

Jimgmie frowned, “Princess, you can’t be like this. He is our monarch and your father.”

Tantai Zimi couldn’t hold back her tears anymore, “I don’t want some father, I just want my mother.”

Perhaps feeling embarrassed mixed with her young age, Ah Mi covered her face and burst out with a “wa!” sound before running away, “I didn’t cry, I didn’t cry!”

Watching the girl run away, Jingmie’s felt a pang of sorrow in his heart.

The demon god has been gone for a thousand years. Under the governance of the goddess these years, the demon realm has been peaceful all around. The little princess is the bloodline of the gods and demons. Her growth is very slow, she might be very powerful at a thousand years old but she is still a young child at heart who needs the companionship of her parents.

The goddess is still searching for Tantai Jin. She has tried many methods. One time she returned extremely weak, with blood on her. The little princess was very frightened that time and ever since then, she would always go wait at the tree before the goddess returns to the demon realm.

This time, it has already been three months since the promised return time. The goddess still has not returned. The little princess has become extremely cranky. She would cause mischief and trouble during the day but would always hide in her bed and cry at night.

Jingmie knows her thoughts. The more naughty she is the more the goddess worries about leaving her and would stay in the demon realm for a few more years before leaving.

Jingmie and Siying take turns taking care of the little princess. She is the child of the demon god, the only princess of the entire demon realm and everyone respects her sincerely.

As long as the goddess does not give up searching for Tantai Jin then the demon realm will keep its hope for the return of their demon lord.

His blood and bones had turned into the demon river, giving the realm continuous energy to thrive. The newly born demon children no longer need to spend their lives in hiding.

To the world, Tantai Jin is a hero but he never knew the existence of the little princess.

To her, the person who never appeared in her life has always been the reason her mother is taken away from her.

She was born a god, honored and noble but she often acted like a wild child. She teased the bear demon’s daughter but that was because she was jealous of the girl’s happy family.

With the blood of the demon god in her bones, there are many bad habits that are difficult to fix in the little princess.

——————————————————-

Su Su finally comes back and the princess is immediately back to her sweet cute self.

During her absence, the demon lords would always write down the major events that had happened in the demon world.

While Ah Mi was sleeping, Su Su used the opportunity to read through all the reports.

Many of the reports were about the troubles Ah Mi had caused. With a hand propping up her chin, Su Su read the reports with great interest. To Su Su, this is also a record of her daughter’s growth.

She of course understands the sensitive and delicate nature of her daughter’s heart and knows that Ah Mi deliberately does these things to keep her close.

But Su Su can not give up her search for Tantai Jin.

If even she gives up, then what should Tantai Jin do?

It’s time for Su Su to leave again on her search for Tantai Jin. The little princess obediently bids her mother goodbye but after Su Su is gone, Jingmie and Siying are thrown into a panic when the little princess leaves the demon realm without telling anyone. (She had stolen one of Tantai Jin’s three super weapons and used it to break through the barrier.)

  • The drama gave a whole lot more backstory to Jingmie and Siying than the novel ever did. However, I do love that these two powerful demons ended up as the princess’ caretakers and obviously have come to care for the little girl greatly.
  • By the way, I was guessing the ending would take four posts, but I think I will end up translating most of what’s left without summarizing so it will be a few more posts than I had originally thought. It’s such good stuff so I would feel too bad if I skip around.
