Aired: April 2022 (Friday & Saturday)

Episodes: 16

Where to watch: Viki.com

Leads: Lee Joon Gi (Flower of Evil, Moon Lovers) & Kim Ji Eun (Strangers From Hell)

Based On: A Korean webtoon of the same name.

Synopsis: As a prosecutor who is determined to bring even the most powerful and rich to justice, our hero paid for his conviction with his life. Stunned when he is given a second chance at life to bring an evil politician to justice, our hero restarts as a college freshman with an eye focused on his enemy.

First Impression: Nothing like a Li Joon Gi drama to pull me right back into K-drama land! The first two episodes moved really fast with most of the backstory set up in just one episode. It did get a bit confusing in the second episode with the number of characters being thrown out one after another. As one who always likes the leads clearly marked out with giant arrows, I also got pretty confused when the show brought out three seemingly equally important female leads at the same time. I ended up cheating by going back to look at the promo poster to figure out which one out of the three women was supposed to be the female lead. I am assuming if I would’ve just waited until episodes 3 &4 the answer would’ve been obvious…but I have never been the patient sort.

As expected, Li Joon Gi’s acting is solid here. It was a tiny bit painful at first to watch Li Joon Gi’s character naively mouthing off against the villain and walking right into his death but he was obviously forced to see the error of his way soon enough. The other thing I liked about the story is that it’s quite unpredictable. We are only two episodes in yet already it feels like every time I get comfortable and I think I know where the story is going the show would throw a curve in my face.
