Helian turns around abruptly and yells towards the river. “Liu Mu Dan, you crazy woman! Go sleep with whoever you want and make whoever you want your son. Throw yourself into the river whenever you want, don’t just chatter nonstop to make noise.”

“I will sleep with someone now! I will jump now!” Liu Mu Dan yanks herself away from someone who is pulling on her to spit into the river.

“You can’t scare me!” A furious Helian screams “Before you married my father you already slept in over a hundred beds. Even after you married my father you were still going around seducing others. Out of the twelve tribes, there were at least ten officials who complained that you had harassed them! You are a blight to our royal family and a stain on our noble bloodline!”

“Why didn’t I just throw you under the horse’s hoof to be trodden to death when you were born!”

“Why didn’t I just drag you out from some guy’s bed and strangle you!”

The mother and son unbelievably begin a yelling match right there. One says the other is a shameless prostitute who doesn’t deserve the station of being the Grand Queen and that he is ashamed to be her son. The other yells that the other is an ungrateful dog who must be a snow wolf reincarnate or how else could it be explained that as a babe he almost bit off her nipple every time she feeds him and that her hands were always numb after helping him to pee that would last three long hours. The screaming match is filled with colorful and creative words, revealing the darkest royal secrets that the flabbergasted audience listens on with amazement.

The people across the river were so dumbfounded that they even forgot to hold onto Liu Mu Dan, letting her jump closer and closer towards the water.

“Pull her back!” A sudden yell came with a rushing sound of horse hoof.

At the same moment, a sound of *plop* came.

Liu Mu Dan who was by the shoreline suddenly disappeared.

*Flash*

On the river’s calm surface suddenly came a huge flash of silver light, accompanying the water droplets shooting straight at the men that were behind Liu Mu Dan. Those men were in the middle of enjoying listening to the darkest and juiciest secrets of the royal family, who would have suspected that danger was approaching them in the water. Before they could even react to Liu Mu Dan’s disappearance, the silver light was already coming towards them.

“Ah!” Screams came continuously as the cleverly designed crossbows that were specially made to function even underwater took out a crowd of people, staining the river with bright red blood.

The man on horseback was also within the shot of the crossbow but he skillfully flipped himself under the horse. Letting out a loud bray, the war horse shot by the arrows falls to the ground. Jumping out, the man stumps his foot in frustration as he looks at the already calm water that is floating with dead bodies.

A number of silver color ripples silently make their way towards the opposite side of the shoreline. In the middle of the river, a woman’s head surfaced and waves triumphantly at the man before puckering up her bright red lips.

“Muma!”

With an angry yell, the man pulls out his sword to strike at the water causing several feet of water splash but the woman is long gone.

By the time the Grand Queen finished sending off her flying kiss and was helped onto the shore by Zhong Chen’s men, Helian was already waiting for her.

The enemies that were hiding under the water had already been taken care of, Helian didn’t bother to greet his sobbing mother running towards him with her arms wide open but was instead busy ordering his three hundred guards and Zhi Wei’s three thousand wedding guards to get off the boat.

Even though their plan of using the Grand Queen to trap Helian failed but the other side didn’t give up and has gathered together all their men in preparation to attack. This is Helian’s first step back as the king and just as it is vital for Helian to make a stand here so does the Gold Roc tribe hope that they could make this place become Helian’s forever resting place.

The men of the wildgrassland like to be direct, since neither side is planning to let the other live to see the next sunrise then there is no point wasting time to talk.

  • The Gold Roc tribe had hoped to capitalize on the small number of men Helian had with him. They were even aware of the men Zhi Wei would have in her wedding procession but what they did not count on is that she would have her own men. Zhi Wei’s men might not be great in number but each of them is the best in their own field of expertise so they might as well be a small army when it comes to the amount of damage they can inflict on their enemies. Moreover…there is also Gu Nan Yi. With a baby in hand, Master Gu, true to his style, languidly stroll on the battlefield and instantly kills a big group of men that had tried to ambush Helian from the back with a simple wave of his hand.

By the time the sun begins to rise, a battle that is not big but is destined to have far reaching influence has already finished.

The Gold Roc tribe leader, the one who had come charging in on a horse, summoned his remaining men for a quick retreat the moment he realized things were not looking good. The Chimera tribe’s home is right here so without anywhere to run away, most chose to surrounder.

The sun slowly shines its ray on the grass field that is soaked through with blood. Next year, one could imagine the land here will be more luscious.

Helian slowly walked among dead bodies, his eyes expressionless.

“Tu Cha.” Helian suddenly stops and bends to look down on a man “We are friends who grew up together. When we were young and you won a riding contest we had promised that your daughter will marry my son. My son is not even born yet but you are already wanting to kill your daughter’s future father-in-law?”

Tu Cha raised his head, the man’s face was full of tears.

“Helian, it’s my fault. I was enticed by Gold Roc tribe’s flowery words! We…we at Chimera tribe are always given the worst grass fields. The best fields are slowly all getting taken over by the Firefox tribe. The Gold Roc tribe promised that once the deed is done they will give us half of the field in the south. Helian, all who betray their brother deserve death! BUT…please don’t make my clan and my family pay for my sin!”

Behind him, the women are all sobbing as they bow continuously to Helian.

With his hands clasped at the back, Helian nods “You know what to do.”

Gritting his teeth, Tu Cha pulls out his sword and plunges right into his own heart. The Chimera men behind him all silently pull out their swords. Ten plus swords shining under the sunlight followed by bright red blood shooting out.

Ear splitting cries filled the air.

Helian watched calmly the whole time, not avoiding the blood that slowly seeped into the ground under his boots.

Looking up at the white clouds in the sky, Helian orders “Kill all.”

The swords pulled, all the sounds of crying abruptly ceased.

Zhi Wei watches from afar, not walking forward to stop it.

The people of the wildgrassland’s philosophy is an eye for an eye. This is the manner they have chosen to live their life. If one decided to be merciful today then there is no guarantee that among one of these children one will grow up to charge into the royal tent with a sword in the future to seek revenge.

On the wildgrassland, there is no prisoner of war, there is just total destruction of any possibilities of any future problems.

In Tu Cha’s heart, perhaps there remained the Helian, who is young and forgiving, one who would always leave the best prey to his brothers whenever they went hunting.

But that Helian only exists for his brothers. (brothers= friends who are like brothers)

In reality, from the time everyone was listening gleefully to the yelling match between the Grand Queen and his son it was destined that all these people would have to die.

The secrets and the dignity of the wildgrassland royalty must be guarded with blood and lives.

Only dead people, will not spread rumors.

“There are only 11 tribes left.” Helian looks up at the sky, seemingly muttering to himself “Which tribe would be the next one to be wiped out?”
