Episode 11
• Beaten to the ground during her competition, Lily looks up and sees Li Yan Xi waving at her but then the image quickly turned into a smiling Ye Chong Jin giving her encouragements. Thanks to the emotional boost from Chong Jin, Lily wins the competition. Figuring out for herself that Ye Chong Jin is NOT the same boy as the one in her fragments of memories, Lily finds out the truth from Daddy Bai.

• Daddy Bai tells Lily the whole story of how she was accidentally hurt by Yan Xi’s enemies. Severely wounded himself, Li Yan Xi used the last of his strength to heal Lily and seals up her memory. The four pieces of Yan Xi’s soul was sent into the different worlds and each of the fragments developed their own personalities in the process. Out of the four pieces, Ye Chong Jin is the main fragment so that’s why he looks like Li Yan Xi and also is the strongest in power. Daddy Bai goes on to tell Lily how he found the Young Li Yan Xi years ago and mistakenly assumed he had time traveled from ancient China. The truth is even more spectacular since Li Yan Xi actually came from an immortal world and is Wan Wan’s master.

• Caught between the desire to keep his daughter safe and the desire to help Yan Xi, Daddy Bai decides to let Lily make the choice herself. Keenly aware of how much her dad wants to help the man that is like a son to him, Lily decides to dive back into the stories to save the brother he doesn’t remember.

Conversation between our two leads:
• Lily confides in Chong Jin about her conversation between her father and herself. Lily asks Chong Jin what he thinks she should do. After listening to Lily patiently, Chong Jin tells her that it seems she has already made up her mind. With a laugh, Lily admits that her memory of Yan Xi is blurry especially in comparison to Chong Jin who is a much more vibrant existence to her, but it might still be nice to have an older brother.

• Lily remarks that Chong Jin has changed. In that, instead of just being focused on his own opinion, Chong Jin has learned to care more about what other people think. Silently, Chong Jin thinks to himself “There are no other people. Just you.” Looking at a smiling Lily, Chong Jin tells himself that he will stay by Lily’s side and when she finishes what she has set out to do then he will let her decide if she will choose Li Yan Xi or him.

Mission #4
Host Name: Tao Xiao Qiu
Setting: Fantasy Wuxia
Host’s tragic ending: A minor character in the novel, our host only lasted two pages in the novel before she was killed off by her fiancé, Mo Shao Qi and his lover. Mo Shao Qi was supposed to marry his master’s only daughter (that would be Tao Xiao Qiu). However, after falling in love with her master’s niece, Mo Shao Qi comes up with an evil plot to use a super strong zombie he had captured to kill off his master and everyone else in his sect.
Mission: Expose the evil villain and save her family.

• Lily enters into the story just in time to see Mo Shao Qi and his lover trying to figure out a way for Mo Shao Qi to get out of marrying Lily. Pleasantly surprised to see Chong Jin in the story as well, Lily is excited to find out that Chong Jin has entered the story in his spirit form so no one else but her can see him.

• Suspecting Lily might’ve heard their conversation, Mo Shao Qi confronts Lily but Lily pretends that she had been wandering far off the whole time. Using the chance to touch Mo Shao Qi with her bracelet, Lily confirms her hope that he is NOT one of Li Yan Xi’s soul fragments. (How hilarious is that Chong Jin was jealous because Lily was too close to the evil villain!) Still unsettled, Mo Shao Qi and his lover decided to go to his master to complain about Lily first but thanks to Chong Jin’s help, Lily is already there first and successfully tattletales on Mo Shao Qi before he could do it to her.

Episode 12

• Displeased to hear that his pupil has been slacking off with his niece instead of diligently teaching his only daughter, Master Tao decides to teach Lily himself when she expresses interest in learning the family art of Taoism magic (deals especially with supernatural creatures). Thanks to Mo Shao Qi and the niece, Master Tao has always thought his daughter has neither the interest nor the talent in learning the family art up to this point.

• Touched after receiving some encouragement from Mama Tao, Lily who for the first time felt the love from a mother vows that she will do everything she can to protect Tao Xiao Qiu’s family. Thoughtful, Chong Jin wonders if the family Lily is so set on saving includes Li Yan Xi.

• Determined to find the powerful zombie before Mo Shao Qi and thus save the Tao family from being killed, Lily sets out into the forest with Chong Jin. Falling through a hole by accident while Chong Jin is investigating elsewhere, Lily is amazed to find a young man trapped by a paper talisman stuck to his face. Taking off the paper talisman without thinking, Lily is stunned by the young man’s good look and shares her food with the young man who is seemingly curious about the most common thing.

• Chong Jin finally finds Lily in the hole. Lily turns around to show Chong Jin the young man but is dismayed to see the young man has disappeared. Shaken at the thought that Lily could’ve been harmed by the mysterious young man, a huffy Chong Jin gives Lily a lecture until she protests that she was only unafraid because she knew he was close by.

• Sometime later Lily runs into the mysterious young man and ends up feeding him again, but this time, Chong Jin shows up shortly after.

• Wan Wan takes out the novel that belongs to Ye Chong Jin and is stunned to see that even though its hero ran away, the story that should’ve stopped is still progressing on its own. What was more surprising was that it looks Yang Rong’s character (the female spy) has resurfaced again and wants to change her own ending.
