Are you really going to be so foolish as to reject the opportunity to obtain the antidote just because it’s in a wedding wine? If so, then I have really misjudged you.”
“Is Your Highness trying to provoke me?” Feng Zhi Wei raised an eyebrow and smiled, “But I think, I’ve fallen for your trap.”
She reached out to take the wine cup, but Jin Siyu suddenly moved his hand. Feng Zhi Wei stopped in surprise, and in the next second, Jin Siyu smoothly slid his arm under her armpit and brought the cup to her lips. In that tangled posture of entwined arms, he smiled and said, “The wedding wine, should be drunk by husband and wife arm-in-arm.”
As he spoke, he stuffed the cup into her hand.
Feng Zhi Wei’s hand paused, then accepted it. A faint smile appeared on the corner of her lips, “It’s just drinking wine, however you drink it, it’s all the same…”
Jin Siyu’s expression was radiant as he tenderly brought the cup to her lips. Feng Zhi Wei, mimicking his actions with a smile, also raised her cup to him. As Jin Siyu leaned in with a smile, his lips got close, Feng Zhi Wei’s hand suddenly closed with force.
With a crack, the wine cup shattered in her hand.
Wine splashed everywhere, spraying all over Jin Siyu’s collar and soaking it.
Amid the sound of shattering wine cup, she said languidly, “…But I’m still not happy.”
Jin Siyu’s hand froze.
In an instant, his face turned pale.
Outside, the dim clouds reflected a faint light through the narrow window of the cabin, casting a glow on the man and woman, one seated, one standing. The woman leaned casually against the soft couch, her head slightly tilted back. The man was leaning forward, his knees between her legs in an intimately suggestive posture, yet the atmosphere was icy and tense.
That coldness came from their eyes.
Two high-ranking figures from enemy nations, both had shed the false masks of diplomacy and released the pure intense hostility in their eyes.
The air was heavy, like a brick wall, as if a single flash of cold light would shatter it.
In the silence, Feng Zhi Wei, who had calmly met Jin Siyu’s eyes with indifference all this time, slowly lowered her gaze to her own lips.
Jin Siyu’s hand was still holding the cup, remained frozen in front of her. The shock he felt far exceeded hers. Even until that moment, his fingers were still trembling slightly.
He should have known she was always more ruthless than he imagined.
The wine cup was right next to her lips. He had forgotten to take it back. And Feng Zhi Wei, who was always quick at seizing moments, did not take the chance to lower her head to drink the antidote-laced wine. Instead, she simply smiled, took the cup from his hand, and placed it casually on the table.
Jin Siyu finally came back to his senses when she took the wine cup away. Hearing the soft clink as porcelain met the wooden tabletop, something flashed in his eyes. After a long moment, he suddenly smiled.
The smile was no longer gentle but was full of mockery. Then, expressionless, he slowly wiped the remaining wine from his chin. His movements were painstakingly slow, as if by doing so, he could suppress the fury boiling inside.
Then, with a cold sweep of his sleeve, the wine cup on the table shattered silently as he said with a laugh, “Fine. I was wrong about you. You may know when to yield and when to bend, but you also have a pride no one can match. In that case, come and get the antidote with your own skill.”
Feng Zhi Wei wasn’t surprised as she smiled— People like them no longer flew into rages like ordinary people. Instead, the angrier they were, the faster they forced themselves to stay calm. Holding the lives of thousands in their hands, those in high places could not afford impulsive missteps that could cause trouble.
Jin Siyu was fortunate enough to be understood by her. Jin Siyu was unfortunate enough to be understood by her.
She smiled without saying a word, not sparing the shattered cup a glance. Then suddenly, she stood up and began to walk out.
She and Jin Siyu were still chained together. Her sudden move caused his hand to be yanked, and he instinctively pulled back. At the same moment, Feng Zhi Wei raised her wrist—with a clang—a sharp, silvery chain stretched taut between them, glinting faintly like ripples on the sea.
“What are you doing?” Jin Siyu asked coldly, his voice low.
Feng Zhi Wei turned her head back, her expression calm and composed. “Oh, I need to relieve myself.”
“……”
Not waiting for the dumbfounded Jin Siyu to respond, she turned and walked off. Jin Siyu couldn’t forcefully yank her back—nature calls summons everyone in life, and it would be unreasonable to forbid someone from answering it. But in their current state, unlocking the chain wasn’t an option. But if he doesn’t unlock it, was he supposed to… follow her?
Him? Follow her?
The royal noble Prince of Dayue was uncharacteristically stunned as he stood frozen in place. Seemingly really had given no thoughts to the issue of gender at all, Feng Zhi walked leisurely as she looked around first and, upon confirming that there was no toilet in the large cabin, proceeded toward the door.
Jin Siyu was finally forced to speak. “Don’t go out!”
Feng Zhi Wei turned back, speaking lightly: “So you plan to watch me relieve myself? You may be willing to watch, but I’m not interested in being watched. It’ll upset my digestion.”
Jin Siyu frowned. If he were a shameless man, he would probably quip back, “I do want to watch. You deserve to just hold it.” But unfortunately, he was of noble birth, with deeply ingrained royal etiquette, and couldn’t bring himself to say anything so crude. After a pause, he pulled out a small golden key and, with a click, unlocked his own shackle.
The key was extremely small. As the golden key flashed through midair, Feng Zhi Wei who was standing in front of Jin Siyu abruptly made her move!
When the golden light flashed, her fingers shot out as fast as the wind with a flick of her fingertip but the expected whizzing by of the wind didn’t come. Her expression changed but her reaction was immediate. In the next instant, her body had at arrived in front of Jin Siyu and was making a grab for that key.
Expecting her move, Jin Siyu let out a cold sneer. With a raise of his hand, the sharp pointy tip of the golden key aimed right at her eye. Feng Zhi Wei turned her head to avoid, and in the next second, her body moved behind Jin Siyu and was simultaneously attacking him in four points: knee, waist, arm, and throat. With a shake of her hand, the chain was about to wrap itself around Jin Siyu’s neck and choke him to death. Jin Siyu slid down and turned his head completely around to avoid her choking hand. Unexpectedly, Feng Zhi Wei fell right on his back, and turned herself around right on his back so as Jin Siyu stopped, she had also arrived to his front, with her hand crossed ready to cut his throat again.
She attacked ruthlessly without using any internal force. She was using the martial arts that Gu Nan Yi had taught her recently. Her angles were tricky and her speed was shockingly fast. Jin Siyu had studied her martial arts and knew she didn’t personally fight very often and guessed that her close combat skills must not be great but who would’ve thought her attack would be like thunder and lightning, striking in an instant.
The cabin space was limited, and the two of them were very close. The close-range kill move startled Jin Siyu and he abruptly fell backward and slid away against the floor. This time, Feng Zhi Wei could no longer cling to his back like a leech. Just when a sneer appeared on Jin Siyu’s lips and he was about to put away the key in his hand, Feng Zhi Wei suddenly pounced on him.
Seeing Feng Zhi Wei suddenly jump and throw her whole body toward him, for the first time, Jin Siyu lost his composure and widen his eyes in shock.
*Bang*
The dull thud of body hitting body.
In that instant, Jin Siyu’s mind went blank, clueless what had just happened. Vaguely feeling that the person who had threw herself on him had pressed herself tightly on top of him, he was startled and quickly moved his fingers to slid the key into his sleeve.
His heart settled was the key was put away, he finally had the presence of mind to feel the woman’s soft and supple body, like a soft and elastic willow branch, with smooth ups and downs, pressed so seamly together that he could feel every valley and dips. It was so warm that he felt his own heart softening, but then a fire came after softening. He let out a grunt and thought to himself, you are the one to throw yourself on me to provoke me, so don’t blame me. He raised a hand to tap her acu-point to immbolize her but Feng Zhi Wei let out a grunt at the same time and raised her knee to thrust downward hard.
Jin Siyu saw her move and immediately raised his knee to block it. There was another dull *bang* sound as their knees collided hard in the the air. Jin Siyu suddenly let out a groan in pain.
Feng Zhi Wei let out a sly smile and touched her own knee.
