The two adjusted their clothing and walked quietly out of the secret passage together. The opening in the erotic corridor gradually closed, and everything became quiet.

The two people hugging each other in the hot spring pool, their tense and stiff bodies gradually relaxed. 

Their senses became more sensitive the moment their bodies relaxed. Both were instantly aware of the supple elasticity and the throbbing of each other’s skin as their body slowly relaxed like a milk-moistened flower blossoming. The danger has passed but a new danger seems to have arrived, this time, the danger came from each other’s bodies as the harder got harder, the soft got softer, like a refining fire threatening to melt each other into puddles of spring water. 

Ning Yi panted softly, his fingers buried inside Feng Zhi Wei’s thick black hair, and muttered, “Why don’t we…just go with it…” (I love Ning Yi’s wording here. I translated the second part as “just go with it” but the Chinese word here really has a meaning that is closer to doing something while you are on your way to doing something else. So, like, can you pick me up a bottle of milk while you are at the store or let’s just get it on while we are checking out enemy territory?) 

At some unknown point, his body had turned slightly red, his breathing was rapid and hot on Feng Zhi Wei’s face. Surprised, Feng Zhi Wei thought Ning Yi’s appearance looked like those under the influence of aphrodisiac drugs. Remembering their surroundings, Feng Zhi Wei quickly summarized that something was off with the pool water. However, while she too felt hot and weak, it seemed to be more of a normal reaction of an inexperienced virgin coming in contact with a male body, not to the point of being unbearable. 

She doesn’t understand why she didn’t fall under the influence of the drug but then again, it might not be too surprising. Her internal energy was a mess to begin with. No one up to this point can explain the mysterious hot burning energy residing inside her. Then later on, Jin Siyu’s poison was added in with part of the antidote turning into poison. To combat the poison, Zong Chen has been giving her different combinations of medicine to try.  After eating so many different things, who knows what they have amalgamated into? Perhaps her body might have even turned invincible against hundreds of poisons. 

But then, the things in this pool of water should not be anything too bad. At most, they are probably just pleasure-enhancing drugs and should lose their effect after suffering through it for a bit. It should naturally be a small matter considering Prince Ning’s great self-control. 

So, Feng Zhi Wei calmly moved aside, adjusted her halter top, climbed up, and pushed the two jade horses into Ning Yi’s arms as she said nonchalantly, “Perhaps you can just go with it and use these.” When she got up by the poolside to put on her clothes, she looked down and saw that there was a faint mist of black air floating on the water. 

Startled, she quickly stretched out her hand to grab Ning Yi. She used a lot of force and pulled Ning Yi right out but he was already standing up so the force sent Ning Yi forward into her, until his body ended right on top of her.  

Feng Zhi Wei heard a chuckle from Ning Yi, “At least it’s my turn to be on top of you now.” As he spoke, he leaned down and buried his face into her neck. Then he sighed with dissatisfaction, raised his head, and started frantically looking for her lips. Feng Zhi Wei snorted coldly and shoved an elbow into his chest, thinking inwardly, the situation couldn’t be helped before but you think I would let you take advantage of me now? Although she didn’t use much force at all but the elbow still struck Ning Yi right in the chest. Startled when she heard a muffled grunt from Ning Yi, Feng Zhi Wei suddenly remembered Manchun’s words and quickly pulled back her hand but Ning Yi’s face had already descended, his lips touching hers. 

Feng Zhi Wei immediately wanted to turn her face away but Ning Yi had already bit her lips. Now Feng Zhi Wei really doesn’t dare to move since any movement would only be tearing her own lips. Ning Yi let out a low throaty chuckle, his lips moved, and something slightly bitter seemed to enter into her mouth, slipped past her teeth and into her throat. 

Feng Zhi Wei was startled– what did Ning Yi feed her? 

Ning Yi turned his head away and said with a smile, “Assassins hide poisons in their teeth, but I hide antidotes. I only had one so each of us took half.” 

Only then did Feng Zhi Wei realize that Ning Yi had also discovered Imperial Concubine Qing’s little sleight of hand and had given her the antidote for the poison. Looks like Ning Yi is also very wary of this imperial concubine that he makes sure to always carry an antidote with him. The next thought Feng Zhi Wei had was that she might not need this half of the antidote at all. Now that he had divided the antidote in half, what if it wasn’t enough to get rid of the poison in his body? But it was no longer possible for her to give back her half so it all has to wait until they get out. 

Suddenly, she felt a tightness at the lower half of her body, and something hard pushed against her.  Slightly panicked, Feng Zhi Wei raised her knee but she suddenly heard voices outside and then a maid exclaimed, “Official Huang, Madam Huang, how did you end up in the East Pool?” 

Feng Zhi Wei let out an “Ah” and took the chance to push Ning Yi away. While hurriedly putting on clothes, she poked her head out and asked, “What East and West Pool? I was washing over there before and felt the water was not very good. I don’t know if I bumped something by accident and the door behind opened. Once I came inside, I thought this place looked better so I just washed over here. Is there anything wrong with that?” 

The two maids exchanged a glance with one another, covered their mouths, and smiled, thinking inwardly true to the rumors, this madam, as someone who came from a colorful background, is indeed daring and shameless. Certain that Feng Zhi Wei must’ve accidentally set off the mechanism, the two maids looked around and were assured no one else was around. Knowing that they would both be in big trouble if it was known that their absence allowed the two guests to accidentally enter the East Pool, the maids promptly decided to keep the matter to themselves. 

One of the maids smiled and said, “It’s alright, Madam just needs to come out quickly…eh? This is…” 

Ning Yi was still fumbling around trying to quickly put on his clothes with his back to the maids, “Ah? His Highness had some matters to attend to and had not arrived at the banquet yet so I went for a walk to look around. I was passing by and wanted to come see the hot springs…cough, cough.”

The two maids smiled again, thinking this is how old guys with young wives are like. He must’ve heard about the special tricks in Second Prince’s hot springs and remembering that his wife was bathing in it, he couldn’t resist the temptation to come in for a look. It just so happens that the East Pool opened, and these two country bumpkins, having never had the privilege to see anything like it, couldn’t help and try it out right then. 

The two maids, are maids responsible for entertaining guests in the West Pool. They only knew that there was an East Pool close to the West Pool but had no clue how to get into it. To keep its secrecy and being over-confident in the difficulty of the mechanism, Second Prince didn’t tell these servants how important the East Pool is. The maids’ cluelessness of all that is at stake on the East Pool and fear of getting in trouble ended up allowing the two to easily make excuses for their presence. 

“In that case.” The maids cast a curious glance at the East Pool which is legendarily rarely opened to the public and said with a blushing red face, “The night banquet should start soon, please come out quickly.” 

Feng Zhi Wei reached out to take the clothes the maid brought for her and said sheepishly, “It was my bad to mistakenly enter the East Pool. It is a disrespect to the villa master. Could we ask you to keep this quiet?”

The two maids nodded and smiled, “Official Huang and Madam will go out directly from the West Pool gate. If we don’t say anything, the people waiting outside won’t know it.” 

Ning Yi came over and handed over the clothes Feng Zhi Wei had on before, “This set of clothes is soaked through. Please throw it away for us. Madam, hurry up and change your clothes, I will wait for you outside.” 

Feng Zhi Wei glanced over and stopped– those clothes were by the poolside and had been soaked through by the hot spring water…the same hot spring water that had been poisoned by Concubine Qing. 

Ning Yi handed this set of clothes to the two maids and made it clear that they no longer wanted it. This set of clothes was made of precious fabric and was worth thousands of gold so how would the two maids be willing to throw it away? They would definitely take it back, wash it, and keep it for their own use. 

In other words, they will die because of those clothes. 

Just like that, Ning Yi effortlessly took two lives. Even if the two maids die in the future, there would be no way to trace it. By then, they would be long gone from the villa. 

This man’s meticulous mind is truly terrifying. He is more skilled than her at killing people silently. 

She nodded and went out as if nothing was amiss– at the end of the day, they each serve their own master, there is nothing to complain about. She is not about to play the saint.
