Xiao Lin and Ye Xiwu
“Your Highness, Third Ye Miss is waiting for you outside again.” A guard whispered in his ear.
Xiao Lin looked up, a summer rain outside of the window came fast and furious. The girl in red stood under the eaves, scolding the maid beside her.
The aggrieved maid knelt down to straighten the girl’s skirt.
The girl was bright and beautiful, with an unmatched arrogance.
Xiao Lin watched for a while, then calmly said, “Let’s go.”
He took a detour with his subordinates and did not go through the gate of the Justice Department. A guard held up an umbrella and accompanied the tall handsome Sixth Prince to the carriage.
No one cared about the girl who was still waiting for him at the gate of the Justice Department.
Xiao Lin closed his eyes and meditated, his expression peaceful.
He has no preference for any woman in this world, so naturally, he held no prejudice either.
Ye Xiwu is the only one he dislikes.

Xiao Lin was investigating a case outside of the palace. Every time he turned he could see her, but she is really temperamental since she was either criticizing or scolding her servants.
As time goes by, he disliked her more and more.
- Turns out, Ninth Princess is the one who keeps telling Ye Xiwu where Xiao Lin is because she dislikes Ye Xiwu and loves to see her embarrassing herself. Ninth Princess even sent a man to pretend to be Xiao Lin’s guard to tell Ye Xiwu Xiao Lin is still at the Justice Department after he had already left. Believing Xiao Lin is still inside, Ye Xiwu waited in the rain and ended up getting sick.
- The next day, Xiao Lin shows up at General Ye’s manor to apologize on Ninth Princess’ behalf.
When the sickly girl heard that Xiao Lin had come, joy burst out of her eyes and she quickly summon maids to come help her dress. Upon hearing that Xiao will leave right after he apologizes to her behind a screen, Ye Xiwu rushed out to stop him from leaving, “Xiao Lin, wait.”
She was still sick, so she had no makeup on and Xiao Lin could see her clean and youthful face.
She was unruly and bold, always calling him by his name in private. (Girls were not supposed to call men who are not family members by name.)
Ye Xiwu’s face was thin with round eyes that had a wet luster like that of a kitten
“Wait a minute, I have something for you.” She raised her hand and said with a hopeful smile, “Here.”
Xiao Lin looked down and saw a navy blue sachet.
The sachet had a few tall and straight green bamboo embroidered on it.
“A few days ago it was Your Highness’ birthday but Dad said Your Highness didn’t have a party. I prepared a birthday present for you but didn’t have a chance to give it to you.”
Xiao Lin was silent, his birthday…he did have a party but Ye Third Miss was not invited. General Ye and his wife had told a white lie to coax their daughter.
Looking into the eyes of the girl in front of him, Xiao Lin said, “A sachet is a private item, Ye Third Miss should gift that to your future husband.”
“Won’t you marry me?” He heard the girl yell, “Why won’t you marry me? You know well that marrying me equals gaining military power! Even so, you still won’t?”
Xiao Lin said coldly, “No.”
She walked around to face him, gritted her teeth, and said arrogantly, “You won’t? You wait, tomorrow, I will go ask the emperor to have us marry.”
Annoyed now, Xiao Lin said, “You dare!”
“Watch if I dare!”
The girl bared her teeth, but it was more like a weak lion cub trying to raise its paw.
Xiao Lin raised a hand, sent a force through the air to shatter a vase in the room, and said coldly, “If you don’t mind becoming like this vase after the wedding, then you can go ahead and try.”
The maidservants screamed in terror.
Ye Xiwu stared blankly at the broken pieces of porcelain on the floor, “You…dislike me so much?”
“I dislike you very much, Third Ye Miss, it is a good virtue for a person to have self-knowledge.”
After he walked out of the door, Ye Xiwu threw the sachet on the ground and stomped on it a few times, “Dislike me, dislike me, who cares, who cares!”

Her missing Xiao Lin was inevitable, and it was another person’s revenge against her.
A long time ago, after Ye Xiwu recovered from her injuries, she saw the beautiful woman snuggling up beside Xiao Lin.
Xiao Lin fastened the cloak around her, whispering something softly to her, there was deep affection in his eyes as he looked at the woman who had her eyes lowered.
Ye Xiwu stared at him and Ye Bingshang, her whole body rooted to the spot.

In this world, it looks like a soul has different fragments and one of them being the evil parts of a person.)
This remnant evil soul was lost in the mortal world five hundred years ago and was reincarnated as Ye Xiwu, the daughter of General Ye.
She is perverse, cruel, and paranoid.
Gouyu took Su Su through space and time, carrying many unspeakable secrets inside.
Like helping Su Su’s soul to be complete, for her goddess body to be reborn.
Ye Xiwu turned into the evil soul fragment and completed Su Su’s seven emotions and six desires (the belief that every person has seven emotions- happiness, anger, sadness, fear, love, evil, lust. Six desires: Eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body, mind.), returning to Su Su’s body. However, from the beginning to the end, Su Su believed that it was all an agreement, an exchange with Ye Xiwu.
She helps Ye Xiwu to protect her dad and grandmother, and Ye Xiwu would lent out her body.
Su Su didn’t know that this was the body born of her soul fragment all along.
So that’s why she would have deep feelings for her grandmother, be afraid of darkness, and have the desire to rescue Ye Xiwu in the past.
Ye Xiwu was part of her all along.
