She suddenly heard the woman give a slight moan and then asked softly, “Why did you appear at this place today…”

The man smiled but didn’t answer.

“You bad man…” The woman sighed and suddenly leaned over to bite his earlobe, “You didn’t come to stop me did you?”

The man let out a soft “ouch” that sounded more like a laugh instead of pain and pushed her away a bit.

“I don’t care what you are thinking.” The woman was pushed away but her hand was still firmly on his shoulder, “Because of you, I more or less have tossed all caution aside, and become someone not like myself…what you promised me, you can’t ever renege on it.”

The man chuckled but stayed silent, as if saying I am like this so what will you do.

Skipping over a bit of sexy threats from the woman saying she will cut off the man’s certain part if he dare to spoil her plans.

Feng Zhi Wei frowned, waiting to hear either deep breathing or soft moaning to come but there was just deathly silence above.

The man laughed, “When I handle things, are you still not assured?”

After a few moments, the woman gave a short laugh and said softly, “Assured…of course I am assured. My good man…are you going to…hmm…”

Half-spoken words are the most suggestive, even Feng Zhi Wei’s is starting to blush but the man only laughed and replied, “You are a rose with thorns. Some have that fortune but I am afraid I don’t have that fortune…”

The woman was silent then sneered, “Yes, you don’t have that fortune. Some people are fortunate, some are covered with age spots and rotten flesh but still have that fortune to enjoy it!”

The man was silent, the bed moved slightly and he seemed to roll over to get out of the way.

The woman sat up and sneered coldly, “Do you know what is the most terrible for a woman? Is not having a man but having a man yet the man is the most disgusting kind to you. The kind with the smell of decay and age, full of the smell of coffin when the clothes are off, but you still have to hold him and tell him you like it so much!”

After a long bit, the man finally said quietly, “It has been difficult for you…”

But the woman broke out in a ringing soft laugh again.

“I am just teasing you…” She reached out a hand to touch the man’s face intimately, “I have no regret since I chose this path. Let’s not talk about this. It’s rare for us to meet, let’s talk about something else… you seem to be helping that person a lot. The other day you had urgently sent a message into the palace and had me go through so much trouble to get the old man out…you and him, what kind of friendship do you have with him?”

“What friendship? The man laughed, “You too know of that person’s reputation…why do you think I am trying to win him over?”

“It’s all for your benefit anyway. Don’t worry, I will help you.” the woman chuckles, “You also must take my affairs to heart. It is difficult to do anything with my current status, so that person, you must make him a priority and find him for me. Don’t accidentally forget it.”

“I can forget all, but I wouldn’t dare to forget your business.” The man laughed, “I am afraid you would— kacha.” (Kacha- sounds of the knife falling on something.)

“The sound of kacha also happens when the head falls to the ground.” The woman laughed as well, her figure trembled from the vibration of the laughter, causing her shadow on the wall to shake like a demonic lotus in the wind.

The man was also laughing, his slender body propped up on the daybed, the corner of his clothes hanging down in the moonlight, like a half-leaning jade tree.

Moonlight, tea room, a forgotten corner of the palace, a man and a woman smiling tenderly at each other.

Arguing, prodding, testing, laughing, words hidden with murderous intent.

In the darkness under the bed, Feng Zhi Wei’s eyes were bright and intent.

“It’s late, you should get back.” After a bit, the man said softly and seemed to hand over something, “Your medicine.”

The woman let out a “hmm,” and obediently took it and ate it.

She was half lying on the couch, with one hand hanging over the daybed, hanging in front of Feng Zhi Wei’s eyes.

A sudden puff of powder dust abruptly drifted into Feng Zhi Wei’s eyes.

Feng Zhi Wei had to blink her eyes hard to blink away the powder dust. She looked up wondering where the powder had come from especially since there didn’t seem to be any movement from above. As her eyes looked up, she was met with the sight of some yellow dust falling from the woman’s hand that was hanging over the bed, scattering in the air.

It suddenly dawned on Feng Zhi Wei– the woman didn’t eat the medicine the man gave her at all but had instead switched it out and eaten the fake medicine she had prepared for herself. The medicine the man gave her, was being quietly crushed in her hands at this moment.

She didn’t know there was someone under the daybed, and that her action was being watched by Feng Zhi Wei.

Feng Zhi Wei swallowed a surprised gasp. What a couple, affectionate on the outside but murderous and filled with intrigue on the inside!

What kind of medicine is this?

What deal did these two make?

Who is lying to whom, and who is hiding what from whom? Or are they both lying to each other?

While Feng Zhi Wei’s mind is buzzing with questions, the woman above her head had already tidied up herself, stood up, and said with a smile, “I am leaving. Remember, don’t make me wait too long.”

The man let out a sound of acknowledgment as the woman gracefully walked a few steps on the ground, flew up and away, leaving only one shadow on the wall. (In this world, when we say fly…they are more like really far jumping. If we are talking about immortals then they would really be flying but they are all mortals here so just really really far jumping.)

The wide-open window let in the midnight cold air.

The man seemed to be lost in thoughts for a moment on the daybed, coughed softly, then lowered his head, intending to pull Feng Zhi Wei out from under the daybed.

*boom!*

The short daybed suddenly topped over, and sawdust exploded everywhere. Caught off guard, the man fell. At the same time, Feng Zhi Wei jumped up from the billowing dust storm and jumped onto his body. A kick to the knee, elbow to the waist, and an arm around the throat, pressing him firmly to the ground, reaching up with a hand to tear away his mask…all in one gusto of motion.

Just as her finger touched the edge of the mask, the person under her let out a low throaty laugh, and with an arm block that sent out a force of internal energy that instantly shocked her hand away.

Undaunted even as her fingers were forced away, Feng Zhi Wei’s other hand has already shot out to lock itself around her opponent’s throat.

The person’s arm abruptly pulled back, elbow knocking into elbows, the impact caused both of them to let out a low grunt.

Before their grunt had time to fade away, the man abruptly flipped over and pushed Feng Zhi Wei down. Feng Zhi Wei raised a knee, aiming at the man’s certain vital part. The man dodged, his eyes behind the mask flashed. Feng Zhi Wei flipped her body, twist her waist, and with a bang, is back on top of the man, her elbow pressed against his throat.

The man under her let out a soft cough before immediately wrapping both of his legs around Feng Zhi Wei’s and twisting until they are rolling around on the ground which ended with him back on top.

Feng Zhi Wei raised her leg to kick him in the front, then the back. He dropped his knee and sank low, after another round of snapping sounds, there came yet another grunt in unison.

In an instant, it was you on top to me on top and back again as they rolled around on the ground repeatedly. In tight close proximity, the two were tangled up in physical speed combat, elbows, knees, fingers, and fists. In a series of firecracker-like snapping sounds, they have already gone around for ten attacks in an instant.

Feng Zhi Wei could only feel all of her body parts and joints turning numb, her limbs no longer seem to be her own even as she struck out those very limbs. Knowing well that she is a woman after all and is no match in strength to a man, Feng Zhi Wei is focused on getting back Gu Nan Yi’s jade sword. With one elbow pressed to the throat, Feng Zhi Wei used the other hand to search on the man’s body for Gu Nan Yi’s jade sword.

As she reached, it coincided with the man dodging her knee attack, causing her to miss her original intended position and ended up touching a certain other part.

Burning hot, sort of soft, sort of hard, a bit raised, and seem to be ready to move on its own at her casual touch.

Even if she is a dummy, she knows by now what she had caught with her wolfish grope and promptly lets go as if she had touched a lump of burning coal.

At her hand’s withdrawal, the person under her stopped resisting and suddenly spread his body like spring water and let out a soft chuckle “So this is what you want…touch it then.”

Touch it then touch it then touch it then touch it then…

Feng Zhi Wei froze, pressed on top of a certain someone, shoulder against shoulder, knee against knee, her wolf claw still raised in midair, like some casanova who has stolen into some bedroom under the moonlight, ready to pick a certain innocent flower.

The certain flower that had been very difficult to pick before is now cooperating fully and laying under her, arms and legs spread open with a slight smile, giving the obvious invitation to be picked.

How’s that for making your Monday a great one! *cough* that was a difficult post to translate without blushing. I just want to remind you all that I am terrible at translating umm… “passionate” scenes. I thought we were done with those in this book (since there were very few to begin with) but I apparently forgot this next part…so just have a modest expectation for next week’s post but I will try my best.
