Qiangu glance over at the various lengths of silver needles and feels her heart drop as she silently counted over a hundred.
“Xiao Gu, don’t be scared.” Bai Zihua soothes her as his left hand gently touches the back of her neck and leaves three silver needles on it in the next instant.
Qiangu’s body convulses involuntarily from the pain. The needles goes past the flash and right into the bones. Gritting her teeth to stop herself from letting out a single sound, Qiangu could feel Bai Zihua’s cool hands lessening the intense pain.
Feeling the trembling of Qiangu’s body, Bai Zihua frowns with concern.
“Can you still stand it?”
Qiangu smiles “It’s alright. Keep going. I survived the Nail of the Soul, why would I be afraid of this.”
Feeling the hand on her turning rigid, Qiagu realized she has said the wrong thing and quickly urges Bai Zihua to continue with the treatment.
Reminded of how Qiangu was tied up and the river of blood that flow from her as the nails were shot into her body, Bai Zihua’s hand trembled. Knowing that the faster he works the less Qiangu would have to suffer, Bai Zihua forces himself to calm down and quickly places a few more needles.
Even though Qiangu’s eyes are covered so Bai Zihua couldn’t see her expression nor was there any wince of pain from her but her quickened breathing and sweat covered body still made him lose his usual calm.
After Bai Zihua pulls the needles out of the bones, it was time to start on the major pressure points. Both letting out a sigh of relief, Bai Zihua gently wipes the sweat from Qiangu’s face and body. Slowly regaining his composure, Bai Zihua begins his treatment again.
Bai Zihua might be feeling better but Qiangu is actually having an increasingly difficult time. The pain had distracted her before but now that’s gone, she can feel every inch of her skin trembling under those cool fingertips! He is even telling her to stop moving around! Let’s see if he could be so still if she was the one doing the touching?!
Bai Zihua can’t understand why Qiangu is letting out small sounds of moaning now when she had refused to let out a single sound of pain moments before. The moaning was like a feather tickling his heart, making him warm all over.
Finished with treating Qiangu’s back, Bai Zihua moved onto her legs, making it even harder for Qiangu especially when he started on her inner thigh. If Qiangu didn’t know Bai Zihua well enough she would’ve thought he was purposefully trying to seduce her.
Frustrated, Qiangu vows silently that she will get her revenge!
Letting out a long sigh when he finally finished the treatment on Qiangu’s back, Bai Zihua proceeds to extract all the needles. Turning her limp body around to allow Bai Zihua to continue treating her front side, Qiangu opens her eyes and is stunned to discover that her vision has already returned. Overjoyed, Qiangu stays silent as she watches Bai Zihua while he focuses on placing the needles into her pressure points.
Originally, Bai Zihua had feared that he would be too distracted by the “view” so he covered his eyes thinking he could then pretend Qiangu is just another patient. Unfortunately, his imagination is quite good so that he is actually struggling more as time passes.
Searching the pressure points with his left hand, using his right hand to place the needle, Bai Zihua jerks his hand back when he accidentally touches Qiangu’s chest. Grabbing Bai Zihua’s hand, Qiangu puts it back on her chest…making Bai Zihua’s mind go blank completely as he feels the pillowy softness under his hand.
“Master, I hurt…” Qiangu whines with a sly smile as she stares at the pool of sweat gathering on Bai Zihua’s brows.
“Xiao Gu, stop messing around…” Flustered, Bai Zihua tries to extract his hand but Qiangu just presses his hand to her chest even harder making his face burn bright red.
“Master, can you feel my heart beat?” Qiangu bites her lips to suppress a giggle.
The sensation beneath his hand intensifies because of Qiangu’s words, Bai Zihua could feel the warm and beating pulse.
“Master, you are blushing.”
“Stop messing around, I might accidentally put the needle in the wrong place.” Bai Zihua says with a voice without his usual calm as he forcefully pulls his hand away. Taking a step back, Bai Zihua clears his thoughts and starts the treatment again.
Her arms immobilized because of the needles on them, Qiangu happily drinks in the sight of the man in front of her. To be able to him again, to see him so flustered…Qiangu suddenly feels like the bet was worth it.
After another half of an hour passed, the treatment is finally over.
Extracting all the needles, Bai Zihua asks “Xiao Gu, can you see now? How are you feeling?”
“My whole body feels like its burning. Master, help me to cool down.”
Qiangu sits up then throws her completely naked body into Bai Zihua’s arms.
Flustered again, Bai Zihua chides “Put on some clothes first.”
“No, it’s cooler this way.” Qiangu presses close to Bai Zihua’s face and kisses the tip of his nose “Master, I can see….”
The corner of Bai Zihua’s lips turns upward.
“You said before… when I can see, we will…”
Rattled by Qiangu’s kisses, Bai Zihua tries to take off the cloth around his eyes but was stopped by Qiangu. Humph! She wants Master to experience what it feels like to be blind as well. Where are his confidence and assertiveness that night when he kissed her in the sky? Why is he shy now?
Qiangu begins to kiss Bai Zihua’s eyes through the fabric that covers them.
Bai Zihua could feel Qiangu’s restless hand fumbling around his chest and back as her breath scorch the side of his ear. Before he could form a coherent thought, Bai Zihua’s mind turns to an explosion of color when his ear lobe is suddenly enveloped by Qiangu’s lips.
He had not been willing to be intimate with Xiao Gu before because he was worried that it would influence his ability to heal her. But now that worry is gone…then he could let nature take its course.
Bai Zihua captures those naughty lips in a deep and forceful kiss, promptly whisking away all the strength from Qiangu’s body. Slowly covering Qiangu’s body with his own, Bai Zihua suddenly feel a nip on his lips as a giggling Qiangu sneaks out under him.
“Master always said Xiao Gu is too little, Xiao Gu is too little! Now that my eyesight is back, I don’t need you to take care of me anymore so we can sleep in separate rooms. As for what was left unfinished…we can discuss that in two more years after I am grown up!”
Ha! That’s for agreeing to let them use her in a bet and then scheming to make her foolish clueless self into falling in love with him. She is still not done being angry. She is going to show him that she can be the one doing the seducing as well! Ha! He can just suffer by himself!
Letting out a sigh, Bai Zihua takes off the covering on his eyes and gives Qiangu a look of distrust.
“Two years?”
Is this the same eager girl who throws herself on him every day to cop a feel?
Feeling affronted by Bai Zihua’s look of doubt, Qiangu holds up her little fists and vows “Don’t you underestimate me! I am going to bet with Master that I can wait until two years later to jump you! You just wait and see!”
Shaking his head in exasperation as Qiangu runs out after sticking out her tongue at him, Bai Zihua lets out another sigh.
Another bet for two years? Is this girl addicted to betting now?
Is not that he is that confident in his own charm but that girl’s will power is simply too weak. Moreover, couldn’t he just be the one to have his way with her?
This bet…she is going to lose for sure.
The End!!!!
Not sure how many of you are still out there but I want to thank you all for patiently sticking with me through this LONG translation process. I knew it was kinda odd to start doing translation for a show that aired all the way back in 2015 but it always bugged me how Bai Zihua’s character was not given a chance to show how much he truly loved our heroine in the drama so this was a way to finally finish the show properly in my mind.

Obrigada! <3
Amei, obrigada pelo maravilhoso trabalho que você teve. Obrigada.
Thank you! <3
I loved it, thank you for the wonderful work you had. Thanks.
Some of us are thrilled and grateful! Thanks, this has been a fun read, straight through. I’m so glad I found this site– it’s a nice break from reality. <3
Thank you!
Thank you so much for translating the novel version, I’m hoping if you read the Story of Ming Lan were she was also the lead actress .. I wish that you can translate it to us too.. ❤ the novel version .. Once Again , thank you so much more power to you..
Hmm…Story of Ming Lan is actually one of those where the drama is better than the novel. The novel was meant to be a relaxing story of what it was like to live as a girl in a noble’s household. So, that means a lot of the “exciting” stuff, including the tearjerkers of our two leads’ first meeting never happened in the novel. The hero doesn’t even show up until our heroine was all grown up. The drama did a much better job at setting up interactions between our two leads so that by the time their marriage happened it felt natural.
Ahh thank you so much for finishing the translations!!!
Thank you for translating the rest of the novel!
Thanks for the translations. While watching the drama, I couldn’t feel BZ’s intense love for Qiangu and the reasons behind his seemingly heartless actions. Your translation has helped me understand the depth of love BZ have for Qiangu and his frustration logic. It has made me appreciate the love BZ and Qiangu have for each other.
I honestly cannot thank you enough for the translations. Also your translation is one of the best I have read out of the many that is available.
Oh, have you watched Ashes of Love? Did you read the chapter where the main characters go to the immortal world in the novel?
I look forward to reading more of your translation in the future.
I was too scared to follow Ashes of Love all the way so I ended up watching the first couple episodes (super cute) then jumping to the last 10 episodes…and cried my eyes out (but I was at least happy with the ending). I haven’t thought to check out the novel yet but I might now that you mentioned it. Did you read it? Is it good?
I have read the translated version. I think the drama did a better job at fleshing out details. The novel and drama is definitely a roller coaster ride, but well worth it. The danger is not being able to move on from it.
The first 30 episodes is less of a roller coaster ride. If you have time, try it again. It is a beautiful journey.
Thank you for the translations!!!
Thank you ninja, your translation always awsome <3
Came across your journey of the flower translation because I was reading the rise of the phoenixes and looked through the rest of your posts. Started watching the journey of the flower drama because of it. Mahn I’m sad this is the end of your translations, I so enjoyed them and caught up so quickly! Thanks for these! Your blog is a gem 💎
Thank you so much! You gave us all closure. I can’t thank you enough for all the time and effort and hard work you’ve put in here. You are an extraordinary human being. All the best of luck to you and whatever else you’ll do in the future! Will keep dropping by this space for future doses of awesomeness! 😀
This was brilliant! You do an amazing job of translating. I smiled throughout.
Thanks for the translation! I actually didn’t finish the drama, just couldn’t get into it, but your translation has given me closure and I like the story much better now. ☺️
Thank you for all your work! I’m so happy!
I loved that innocent denial of pleasure dynamics, that the story never got to flash out their full “being together” lol
And thanks God they talk about waiting for her to fully grow up, but they could’ve just accelerated it in the end, right. How many times has she went thru puberty already, poor girl… lmao
