We got an early Christmas! Lost Love In Times will be switching to 2 episodes every Wed, Thur, and Friday… which means for the sake of my sanity of recapping 6 episodes in one shot, my recaps will be shorter on the general plot line but still detailed on interactions between our two leads.
Thanks to some wise counsels from Yuan Zhan, 11th Prince finally realizes that Cai Qian might be too used to his presence to notice her own feelings for him. Amused when Cai Qian shows up asking where 11th Prince has disappeared to, Yuan Ling pats himself on the back as he thinks “11 finally wised up enough to play hard to get. Guessed he learned by just being around me all these years.” Ha!
Yuan Ling tries to convince the emperor to not allow the elite nobles to have all the influence in the country but both Yuan Zhan and the crown prince think they should instead try to change the power distribution through education. Impatient when Yuan Ling urges that the nation doesn’t have time to change slowly, the emperor chastises Yuan Ling and tells him to only focus on military matters.
Well aware that Yuan Ling is worried about the refugees that have been flooding in, Qing Chen comforts him that she will tell Mingyi Tower to make the necessary preparations to help the refugees. The show doesn’t really go into detail explanation of what exactly makes the current emperor a terrible ruler but whatever he is doing or not doing is creating a lot of suffering among the common people. Finally relaxing his furrowed brows, Yuan Ling smiles as he says “You are the one that understands me the most after all.” Glad to see Yuan Ling smiling, Qing Chen asks “Is your mood better now?” Puzzled, Yuan Ling says “What do you mean?” Looking back at Yuan Ling, Qing Chen explains “Because I understand you!” Breaking out in a laugh, Yuan Ling tosses aside all the problems hanging over him and enjoys running around on the beach with Qing Chen.
Eager to get rid of the crown prince, 9th Prince uses his charm on Luan Fei and easily convinces her to do EVERYTHING to help him achieve his goal. Happy and dismayed at the same time when Luan Fei tells him that she is pregnant with his child, the crown prince decides to abandon everything to run away with Luan Fei.
Order by an angry emperor to bring the crown prince back safe and sound, Yuan Ling catches up to the escaping crown prince with his army. Knowing there is no hope of escaping from Yuan Ling’s famous army, the crown prince pleads with our hero to help Luan Fei get away. Moved by the crown prince’s pleading, Yuan Ling agrees to his brother’s request.
Episode 34
Not about to let the crown prince send her away when her goal is to make sure the crown prince dies, Luan Fei tells a very moved crown prince that she wants to stay by his side…even if it means death. Sent on a mission by the emperor to convince the crown prince to forfeit his plan, Qing Chen arrives just in time to convince Laun Fei that she and the crown prince should fake their death by taking a pill our heroine had prepared for them.
Totally unaware of Qing Chen’s plan with Luan Fei, the crown prince kidnaps Qing Chen and attempts to run away with Luan Fei again. Resigned when their escape route leads straight to a cliff, the crown prince willingly takes the pill Luan Fei offers to him believing that he is about to commit suicide with her. At first confident that everything is going according to her plan, Qing Chen quickly becomes unsettled when she realizes the manner the crown prince and Luan Fei “died” doesn’t match the effects of the pill she gave to Luan Fei. Surprised once Qing Chen tells him about the pills, Yuan Ling assumes that Luan Fei must’ve switched Qing Chen’s pills with real poisons out of love for his brother but Qing Chen quietly informs him that he is thinking of the wrong brother since the man Luan Fei loves is actually the 9th Prince.
Furious to see his crown prince brought back to him in a coffin, the emperor blames Yuan Ling for failing to keep his eldest son safe.
Suspicious when he gets a letter from Qing Chen requesting a meeting, 9th Prince agrees to Wu Ping Ting’s suggestion of taking the dark sorcerers with him to ensure his safety. Stunned when he arrives at the meeting place to find a very much alive Luan Fei waiting for him, 9th Prince promptly tries to kill her himself. Showing up at the nick of time to save Luan Fei, Qing Chen asks her “Do you see now what kind of man he is?” Still madly in love with 9th Prince even after he tried to kill her and proclaims that the only one he will ever love is his dead wife, Luan Fei holds a knife to her own throat to force Qing Chen to allow 9th Prince to escape. By sheer good luck, the poison Luan Fei took was negated by the pills Qing Chen gave her, so that is how she is still alive. Let’s just all pretend to not notice how weird it would be for Luan Fei to convince the crown prince to take TWO kinds of poison pills. “Dear, I am not sure how poisonous this one is…let’s just take two different kinds to be sure…”

Allright, so thats the reason I seem to have watched more than usual raw episodes!
Thanks for the recaps. Since I don’t understand the language, your recaps are a great help!
I find it weird about the poison pills too. Apparently QC said LF took the other one earlier becoz she is pregnant… then somehow that negates the real poison which she took later. If this is the case, why is the crown prince not dead? Puzzles…
no.. the pill that QC gave was the things that really save their life.. That grass counteract the poison that LF gave to the prince and herself.. that why LF and the crown prince didn’t die..
Thanks, again ninja for another great recap!!
I think the whole poison plot was a bit stupid but I love this show too much to care lol
Ahhhhh the beach scene was so sweet!! Been looking forward to that scene hehe
Now that we have three villains at the same time it’s kinda hard to keep up with what each are really after … lol
Thanks, at Least I understand what going on lol
