Where we left off last week: Grandfather Kim comes home just in time to overhear Shin Ae threatening his precious son.
Furious with Shin Ae, Grandfather Kim wonders for a brief moment if she could really be his grand-daughter until Mama Jo reminds him that Shin Ae’s identity has already been confirmed by the DNA test.
Knowing that she has to regain Grandfather Kim’s trust as soon as possible, Shin Ae puts on a show of a loving daughter and successfully wipes away any remaining doubts in Grandfather Kim’s mind.
While Shin Ae is patting herself on the back for averting one crisis, unbeknownst to her, another big crisis is about to surprise her. Too busy talking with one another to notice that Hee Dong (Shin Ae’s husband, Mama Jo’s son) is within earshot, Daddy Kim and little Yoo Jin look up with fear once they realize Hee Dong has just overheard them referring to Shin Ae as Yoo Jin’s birth mother. Still wondering if everything was just a misunderstanding, Hee Dong’s heart sinks as Yoo Jin burst into sobs and Daddy Kim begs him to keep the secret so Shin Ae wouldn’t send Yoo Jin away.
Devastated after a DNA test proves that Shin Ae is indeed Yoo Jin’s mother, Hee Dong loses all trust in Shin Ae and asks for a divorce. Dismayed that Hee Dong’s departure is just going to add to her already shaky situation, Shin Ae tries to get Hee Dong to forgive her but Hee Dong refuses to budge. As expected, Mama Jo flies into a fury the moment she finds out about Yoo Jin and has an all out cat fight with Shin Ae.
In the mean time, Grandfather Kim has received several reports from his subordinates about Shin Ae’s continual efforts to gain control of his company and begins to wonder again about Shin Ae’s identity. Remembering back to Mama Jo’s mention of the DNA test (the one he conducted in secret for himself and Shin Ae), Grandfather Kim belatedly realizes that other than himself and Daddy Jo no one else should’ve known about the DNA test. Telling Daddy Jo to go home for an emergency meeting, Grandfather Kim arrives first and gets inside just in time to hear Shin Ae vehemently telling Mama Jo “I am not the only one that will go down if you reveal I am the fake grand-daughter!”
Grandfather Kim FINALLY finds out the truth…but of course before he could tell anyone he has a heart attack and falls unconscious. Trying hard to assure herself that Grandfather Kim probably didn’t hear her argument with Mama Jo, Shin Ae decides that no matter what, Grandfather Kim’s coma is still a great opportunity for her to gain control of the company.
Blissfully clueless of the chaos at the Kim household, Mi Poong and Mama Kim are busily preparing to start mass selling their dumplings on TV.
Worn down by Jang Go’s insistence to stick by her through thick and thin, Mi Poong accepts our hero’s ring once again.
Determined to catch herself an ideal daughter-in-law this time around, Mama Lee sets an unsuspecting Jang Go up on a marriage date under the guise of law consulting. Snorting at Mama Lee’s foolish attempts, Grandmother Lee gleefully informs Mama Lee that Jang Go has already put a ring back on Mi Poong. Storming into the dumpling store yet again, Mama Lee angrily demands that Mi Poong takes off the ring but could do nothing but stomps off in defeat when Mi Poong declares that she had promised Jang Go to not take it off.
Appalled to find out that Mi Poong and Mama Kim will not only be selling their dumplings on TV but will be using the opportunity to search for Daddy Kim, Shin Ae locks a crying Daddy Kim in his room to make sure he would have no opportunity to see the tv program.
Furious to come home to discover what Shin Ae and his wife had done, Daddy Jo promptly rescues a whimpering Daddy Kim.
Immensely grateful to be delivered back to his father’s side, Daddy Kim’s nonstop chattering quiets as he stares at Mi Poong and Mama Kim’s smiling face on the TV screen.

Seriously show? I really thought by this point most if not all the secrets would be revealed by now!
At least poor Hee Dong finally found out the truth about his wife. I actually really like Hee Dong’s character and wished the writer gave more time to his story instead of wasting scenes on all those near misses. What I love about Hee Dong is that while like his father, he is a man with a very forgiving and tender heart but there is still a point where he will say “enough is enough”. Hee Dong was willing to overlook a lot of questionable things about his wife but Shin Ae’s act of sending her own daughter to an orphanage and her subsequent order to Yoo Jin to lie were things that he simply could not and would not understand.
Two more weeks left! Okay, show. Don’t disappoint me next week!!!

I love the show, but it’s taking to long. All the twist and turns should have been figured out by now.
